Like an unborn child, ready to be born,
Thoughts become words, night into dawn,
Trees budding leaves, petals turn to flowers,
Foundation upon foundation, up upon towers;

From the light of the sky and cover of cloud,
Piercing into knowledge, humbled and vowed,
Let stratospheres open, catch the first breath,
Floating through space, bypassing of death;

Far across the galaxy, to a universe unknown,
Like an unborn child, with a mind of its own,
Thoughts become words, dawn into sight,
Seeing for the first time, in an unfamiliar light;

Sitting back, watching and letting it become,
From the light of the sky, shining joys of one,
Back down to earth now, catching one's worth,
As the wonders of life, are a true gift of birth.
