Dropped a Line

Last time you dropped a line,
I was watching from a sideline though a window curtain,
Observing all that you define,
Like a Monk in Yoga stance siting on highlands;

Last time you dropped a line,
I admired how you rhymed,
Encouraged by your best punch line,
On the dot today I hit the shores like Ocean tides;

Last time you dropped a line,
I was crawling under you lines,
Today I'm flying like a swan,
On top of the world with my rhymes;

Last time you dropped a line,
I was committing a crime,
Copycat what was yours without paying a dime,
But today I resign and let my mind do the divine;

Last time you dropped a line,
All alone you set what's to be rhymed,
But now we hit the roof tops together combine,
Big up for all with them killer rhymes;

Last time I dropped a line,
Poets wondered on my lines,
I assure you am no longer committing a crime,
But rather hopelessly forging my own rhymes;

Last time I dropped a line,
My phone displayed battery with white lines,
But now all what I see is red lines,
Good bye for now let's catch up next time.
